New Assistant Ecologist Joins the Greenlight Team

Greenlight are pleased to announce that our team has expanded with a new recruit joining us! Here is a profile on Sasha Edhouse, our new Assistant Ecologist.

Previous Experience

Sasha has already got experience in an Ecologist role, more specifically a Field Ecologist, which she enjoyed for just under a year. This gave her more of an insight into working with a wide range of surveys and report writing which she has brought into this role.

As well as this, she has also previously undertaken field work in South Africa, collecting data about the species on a game reserve, practicing species identification and research skills.

During her time at university, Sasha studied biology with specialism in animal biology and ecology. For her dissertation, she took part in a range of field work including researching the impacts of environmental variables on bat distribution in the south of England.

These various work experiences present Sasha with a strong environmental background, making her more than perfect for this new role!

Assistant Ecologist Job Description

For her new role as an Assistant Ecologist, Sasha will be carrying out a range of surveys and writing a variety of reports including BNG assessments and PEA’s. She’s most looking forward to improving her field work skills with a range of training, including working towards her bat and GCN license.

With such an experienced and skilful team, Sasha will learn from the team’s knowledge which will help develop her overall understanding of the sector and grow her expertise in new areas.

Sasha’s Hobbies & Ambitions

Sasha’s love for the outdoors stays persistent in her hobbies, with walks in nature and spending time outside. Not only does Sasha love outside activities, such as playing rugby and keeping fit, she also enjoys indoor hobbies like cooking, crochet and teaching herself new skills in her free time.

Sasha’s ambitions stay committed to ecology, aiming to grow her skills, learning more field work techniques and research skills to help her gain a better understanding of the world and to teach others about the things she loves.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Sasha and we are so pleased to have her join our team here at Greenlight.
